BIOGRAPHY
Clarky joined the toon not long after the start of the 2006/07 season. Brought to the club by Beattie as a goalkeeper with a great reputation. This was put into question when he turned up at his first training session with a t-shirt that was too small it made him look as if he was wearing a boob tube and a pair of baggy shorts that he made look like hot pants. His weight had slightly wandered since he was at his prime when his reputation was established. Never the less he set about making the number 1 jersey his own(basically because once he had it on , no-one else could fit into it). In recent weeks the big man has been given the chance to prove his worth between the sticks and has so far managed to hang on to it. He brings to the team a vocal presence which is required to keep the RT defence in check. He has also sound handling ability and that coupled with his lightning cat like reactions and agility is fast on his way to becoming a fans favourite. His ambition in football is to maybe one day manage to keep a clean sheet during a game , but , given the defence in front of him he feels that dream will never be realised. The only chink in his armour is perhaps the fondness of the odd pie or two but that only reinforces his presence on the pitch. He will however have one hell of a fight on his hands in the remaining games to wrestle the FAT cup from the sweaty , hairy fat hands of Hammy but with his dedication to his diet , he doesn't see this as being a problem. Next season should see him flourish as one of the best , if not thee best keeper in the league as well as cementing his title of DD cup champion.
